Conformity

"Our desire to conform is greater than our respect for objective facts."
- Margaret Drabble
I think this quote is very true. we see examples of this happening everyday. Many people smoke cigarettes despite the extreme negative health effects. What other reason would so many Americans have to smoke if not that they see others doing the same? The facts are well known by almost everyone and people are ignoring them at a cost.

Smoking is a good example but try not to use your example as a crutch for the whole response. Elaborate on the quote more don't just agree with the quote and give an example.

Yes! No smoking ! Smoking makes your breath stink and turns your teeth yellow! Why would you want to do it? Don't ignore the facts tart...don't do it to yourself =p. And yes we're going to fight...change your background.

you're right! My grandfather smoked cigaretts for 52 years, ever since he was 12 and he said the reason he started doing it was because, his friends were doing it. That's crazy! He like really picked up a bad habit by conforming! forget conforming!
